Tatjana Orhini Valjavec - Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy, Government of the Republic of Slovenia

Tatjana Orhini Valjavec graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana with a degree in International Relations. She has worked at the Ministry of Environment for over 20 years, gaining experience in various roles. Tatjana began her career in the international department, then moved to the environment directorate, and now serves in the environment department.

Her expertise lies in green public procurement, and she is also involved in work related to the circular economy, the Life Programme (where she acts as the national contact point), Green Claims, and Ecolabel initiatives.

Outside of work, Tatjana enjoys spending time outdoors, whether on trails, biking, or hiking. She also embraces the challenges and joys of raising and managing two active teenagers.
