Getting around Cardiff to the conference venues

Traveline Cymru offers a journey planner which includes full public transport information for getting around Cardiff including buses and trains

Cycling or walking

Cardiff is a compact city with venues within easy walking distances of the city centre hotels, large parts of the city are pedestrianised, making it easy to get around on foot.

There are also plenty of bike racks located all over, if you don’t have a bike with you there’s companies such as Pedal Power you can hire from or pay as you go bikes you can hire through the company app dotted in locations across Cardiff.

Taxis

There are several taxi ranks situated around the city centre where you can find licensed taxis. Hackney cabs are black and white or are London taxi style cabs. They display a taxi roof sign and have a licence plate attached to the rear of the vehicle. Only hackney cabs can be hailed from the roadside. Private hire taxis cannot be hailed at the roadside and must be pre-booked. There is no light on the roof and a yellow licence plate is displayed at the rear of the vehicle. We recommend checking the estimated cost for your journey to make sure you have enough money before travelling.
