Main Conference

National Cricket Centre, Sophia Gardens

The main conference day will be held at the National Cricket Centre, Sophia Gardens. This will include keynote speakers, panel sessions and case studies from the main stage in the morning, with a choice of themed breakout sessions being staged in the afternoon.

Throughout the conference programme, contributors will:

  • Share lessons learned through Wales’ recycling journey success and the ongoing transition from the industrial revolution to the green revolution. The programme will also include learnings from circular economy best practice in other countries
  • Talk about the important role the circular economy can play in the delivery of the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals, which are being used in Wales as indicators of national wellbeing.
  • Use Wales’ world-leading Wellbeing of Future Generations approach to demonstrate the importance of partnership between governments, businesses, and communities in achieving an effective circular economy.
  • Deliver a series of interactive workshops, taking a ‘deep dive’ into a range of topics and areas of interest. From behaviour change and innovation to utilising the public sector to drive the circular economy, the workshops will allow delegates to enhance their understanding of specific areas and take away practical insights.
